TEAM 2: AMUR FALCON - The plane is a pre-World War designed II BU 131 Bucker Jungmann biplane, probably dating back to the 1950ies. It's considered to be among the finest and fastest aerobatic biplanes of its class and it performed faultlessly throughout the entire #VintageAirRally from Crete to Cape Town, in other words, during the whole length of Africa! Cruising at a steady 90 miles indicated airspeed and its ability to climb effortlessly, the Jungmann was always among the first aircraft to arrive at each of the stops along the route and get to be refuelled ahead of the other, slower biplanes and usually just after the Pipistrel Sinus.
