Forwarding Maurice Kirk 's appeal for help to realise his dream and finish what he started: the crossing of Africa with his Piper Cub.

"It is becoming abundently clear that taking the WW2 D-Day Piper Cub from South Sudan by truck to Kenya as a bad, bad move. She has been there a long time and there is rumour the engine was simantled and put together again, some would say quite unnecessarilly, but now is an unknown entity with no one giving Maurice the requisite paperwork but were quick enough to take his money.

Maurice is actively searching UK, US and elswhere for a C90 engine to ship out to Nairobi where he is intending to put it back on himself in less thes than a day as in the old days.

Back before Christmas, of which year he forgets, he was promised the crank inspection in one week and certificate to fly a month later.

He has no idea where the engine is what has been done or not done and every time he contacts the LAA they have heard precious little or was it the year before that she arrived in Nairobi?.

Meantime we are progressing with assembling the original A65 that came off her for C90 replacement to be shipped to Nairobi

Maurice still has the cub G-KERK needing a syndicate in France or Uk to finish off for a group and his french cub, of course, still for sale at £18,000 to finance his African dream".
