Air Trophy

Not really STOL, but an EXPERIMENTAL plane (and ART work) landed at the #ZouteAirTrophy! Love the registration: OK-NUL 43 ;-)! It is the third plane in its genre built from a Subaru engine by Joost Conijn, a dutch artist who even flew to Africa with one of his self made planes and wrote a book about it.

The artist started his career with works out of the ordinary, even using his own body as the chassis of a fantastic vehicle that he tested on the rooftop of his school in Amsterdam. Today, Joost Conijn is known as one of the most autonomous and extraordinary artists with work that can impossibly be classified in only one discipline. This is the reason his objects and movies, showing most of his actions, are part of public and private collections throughout Europe. In 2005 he was nominated for the "Prix de Rome".

He was invited for a TED-talk and has multiple movies about his adventures. Google him! He is fascinating!!!
