Today is the International Day of Women and Girls in Science - Recognizing the role of women and girls in science, not only as beneficiaries, but also as agents of change 🤩👌.

Zara says it was disheartening to her as a young girl not to have any female #rolemodels 👩‍🦰 👱‍♀️ 🧕 relating to science, technology, engineering or mathematics (#STEM). When setting off on her epic #journey and noticing the amount of attention 📰 📺 she was receiving, she decided therefore to highlight 🔦 the gender gap in stem-related fields and try to inspire girls and women to move into these fields as well as #aviation ✈️.

In the hope to keep inspire girls in this direction, she accepted an interview with Thomas Dermine in his capacity of Secretary of State for the Relaunch and strategic Investments of the Scientific Policy (Belgian Federal Ministry of Economy and Work), which took place in this unique and most appropriate setting of the Royal Military Museum.
