Flyzolo Team Update - Second Antipodal!
Zara has just landed in #Jakarta, #Indonesia and with it, has successfully reached her second antipodal point. This is major! Woooohoooooooooooooooooooo šŸ¤©šŸ™šŸ’ŖāœˆšŸ¦ˆ

People ask us why she was not flying direct to Phuket. Well, this is the exact reason. To achieve a Round-The-World record, Guinness requires to pass via two antipodal points on Earth šŸŒ. Practically, it means that if you were to pierce a skewer through an orange, the point in and the one back out would be your two antipodal points.

What were Zara's antipodal points on her original route? It was Tumaco, Colombia and Jambi, Indonesia...

Unfortunately, due to weather, Zara only reached as far as #Quibdo, #Colombia. Her second antipodal therefor had to be adapted accordingly and receive the green light from Guinness World Records:

"Could you please confirm that her two antipodals satisfy your requirements:

1. Quibdo airport SKUI, Colombia. 05.6907N 076.6412W 3 September 2021

2. Halim airport WIHH, Indonesia. 06.2652S, 106.8863E 20 December 2021 (hopefully)

Latitude difference of 0.57degrees.
Longitude difference of 3.52degrees.

A total difference of 4.09 degrees (less than the permitted maximum of 5 degrees).

In fact, with her flightpaths in-out of each location the difference is probably less, but the airports are more easily checked and a simpler analysis."

And? Guinness did confirm that both Zara's antipodals are valid for her World Record Attempt! Yihaaaaaa! šŸ’ƒšŸ™šŸ’ŖāœˆāļøāœØšŸŒ

From now on, Zara could fly home anyway she likes... There are no fixed destinations to be hit anymore to succeed her solo-circumnavigation attempt!

Well done Zara!!!!!!!!!!!
