So, some maths for the weekend (...

So, some maths for the weekend (sorry!).

I am having an extended baggage space modification (STC) done to my plane. Basically removing the rear bulkhead to give more spare rearwards.

Question to the group.

Picture one, skis, weight in middle (pyramid) tied down either end. CG is in the middle of the baggage area.

Picture two, skis, because they are tied down at front and weight is through pyramid again - the CG is still in middle of (old) baggage area. Even though they physically extend further rearwards.

My maths is correct, or I'm wrong and the CG for picture two would be further back (and so need more careful maths)?

Answers on a postcard, or here if you prefer. 🙂
